From sunrise to sunset, participants will be learning the elements of lighting, techniques of composition and other tricks of the trade useful for creating beautiful environmental portraits. Classroom time during lunch will give students the opportunity to review their images and receive feedback from one of the best known and most highly skilled environmental portrait photographers in the industry, Canon Explorer of Light Bruce Dorn. Under Bruce's expert supervision, participants will have the opportunity to photograph professional models in iconic Sedona locations such as Oak Creek Crossing and Bell Rock. Canon staff will also be on hand to assist and answer questions. The creative use of Canon specialty lenses and Speedlites will be demonstrated, and a wide variety of Canon EOS cameras, EF lenses and EX Speedlites will be available for students to test and evaluate at no charge. Diligent participants will leave this one day intensive workshop with the foundational skills necessary to create gorgeous portraits anywhere, anytime.
